Retrofit of commercial building – Gamboa
This building used to be an archive and would become an office place. This uses modification generated the need of reviewing the facade, creating more openings and coating materials. We used Cementitious coatings, opaque and translucent glass and a vertical garden panel to act as a prominent element of the Lobby access. The Gamboa's region where the building is located passes through an urban revitalization, sponsored by the City Hall and the private sector. Because of this we attempted to integrate the project to the new environment without the use of walls. Access to Lobby will be given by a "porte-cochere" and a grove of palm trees.
